Classic Cast Iron Wood Burning Stove - Safe, affordable solution for home heating with wood
Road Warrior, Inc
Designed to work with any decor. Textured cast iron sides and top without any branding, logos or images lead to clean and classic look.
To develop the Consensus 2770 we gathered together Fireplace Industry Professionals with over 150 years of experience selling woodstoves in the USA. Our main task, to identify the most important features to create the best wood stove possible.
Our consensus was:
The Consensus 2770 is composed of a combination of glass, steel and cast iron. Heat transfers fastest through glass, then steel and finally cast iron. The new design offers a large glass viewing area. A tight, welded steel firebox allows the heat out and then surrounds the top and sides with heavy cast iron to absorb heat and transfer it more slowly into your living space. This is described as Soft, Even, Satisfying Warmth.
Minimize Radiant and maximize Convection. Radiant heat can overpower the stove room while convection heat flows freely throughout the entire home. The Consensus 2770 creates and moves warm air by using the air spaces on the top, sides, back and pipe shields. The 2770 moves more air naturally than many stoves that utilize a fan.
The double heat shield along with the pipe shield allows for a clearance of just 7.5” from the back of the 2770 to a combustible wall. This saves the time and expense of having to build or buy a wall protector, additional heat shield or close clearance stove pipe.
Large log size and full capacity firebox is essential to a functional wood stove. With equal ease, you can load the 2770 sideways for a romantic fire or load it front to back for the longest burn. The large twin doors open for unrestricted filling of the stove. No small side doors, no angled firebox, no restrictive andirons or curved door openings to limit log size.
The 2770 was designed to work with any decor. Textured cast iron sides and top without any branding, logos or images lead to clean and classic look.
The 2770 weighs 482lbs which translates to More for the Money. Our final goal was to provide the best cost paired with the best features to provide the best value in the Wood Stove Industry today.
Warmth, Safety, Romance, Practicality, Good Looks and Value. We hope you will agree the Consensus 2770 satisfies all those requirements.
